This guestroom renovation addressed a challenging room geometry defined by a slanted wall and limited light. A built-out architectural wall was introduced to establish a clear placement for the bed while creating depth for integrated storage behind the sleeping area. Floating walnut shelving was incorporated into the new wall to provide additional storage while maintaining a minimal visual profile.

Due to the limited space between the bed and sloped wall, a wall-hung drawer system was selected to provide additional storage while preserving the compact footprint of the room.
To address the room’s low light conditions when the window shades are closed, a recessed soffit was added with integrated cove lighting and recessed downlights to introduce layered ambient illumination. Minimalist wall fixtures were specified as bedside sconces to provide focused reading light.

Material selections were chosen to brighten and modernize the space, including a textured wall covering and a custom wool–silk rug palette. The design was developed through Italian CAD software, SketchUp modeling, millwork elevations, electrical coordination diagrams, and finish documentation used to guide fabrication and installation.
